Reflecting on the day’s event
I try to get the much needed rest
Yet I cannot shut my heavy eyelids
For the episodes comes back
Bringing the pearl of laughter
We had just celebrated the day
With plantation of fruit trees
But most had mind else where
The burning issues of the nation
The talk of the pay revision
Some were with calculators
Adding and calculating the increase,
While others with some disagreement on
the issue
Few of us watching from distance
And just observing the episode
Having heard of it everywhere
Both at the workplace and outside
On television and online
I just had had enough of it now
Wish it to fade away without much controversy.
